Re-branding of a craft supplies shop that has been in business for over 25 years. The bold typography and inclusion of ‘Hamburg’ in the logo signal both pride and confidence in their city location. The brand identity and communications focus on the creative and analog aspect of hand crafts.

The Central Universal Department Store (TSUM) in Kiev, a cultural icon from the Soviet era, has undergone a complete refurbishment to bring it into the 21st century. The new brand identity encapsulates both the heritage and the future. The bold letterforms of the logo remain fixed, but come alive through the way they are reproduced or used as a framework for different content, reflecting the business strategy to provide a continually fascinating, ever-changing shopping experience.

Mercedes-Benz / Showroom / KMS Team + Jürke Architekten

Pitch for a new retail concept for Mercedes-Benz showrooms. The brief: to be ‘the talk of the town’. The solution: the ‘Fitting Room’. A private space set within a bar restaurant, where the invited few can ‘try on’ a model of their choice. Design inspiration for both interiors and graphics came from the iconic Mercedes louvered front grill.

Direct mail for the launch of the Burberry flagship store on Bond Street, London. Burberry considered their new location to be at the ‘international crossroads of fashion’. The concept developed the famous Burberry check into a London street map.

The Grove / Brand identity / FOUR IV

Concept design and art direction for a new luxury five star hotel set among 300 acres of parkland on the edge of London. Positioned as ‘London’s country estate’, a contemporary interpretation of nature was the design theme for both the interior and graphic design. The logo cleverly combines a leaf with the initial ‘G’ for Grove.

Concept design and art direction for a Spring/Summer lookbook, designed to present this niche fashion label as a credible brand to investors. Despite the exotic feel these images were actually shot in late Autumn on the roof of a multi-storey carpark east of London. Large format, printed on newsprint.
